About the Artist
Arlene Jermann
Welcome to my watercolor painting website. I hope you enjoy these paintings as much as I enjoy painting them. A bit about me....
After a fulfilling career as an architect and designer, I am redirecting my creative roots to focus on watercolor painting. I've been winding down my business at AKJ Architects (www.akjarchitects.com), taking classes and workshops from Eric Wiegardt, and revisiting how I approached painting at Skidmore College where I was a fine arts major. I've learned a lot about watercolor since I started in taking classes in 2023 and am looking forward to having more time to learn, to develop my style and to pursue a passion I had long ago. I love color, loose brushstrokes, and connecting with nature when I paint landscapes and am very grateful to be able to return to develop my skills in this next phase of life.
